The mix was too powerful for rhythmic elements that felt not powerful enough. This is worse than the mix being not powerful enough.
The sounds were kind of all over the place. They were individually good, but didn't make sense in context of each-other.
Definitely try to add more variations to the kick snare patterns. That boom psh boom boom psh got old real fast. Like, two bars fast. Really bad.
Around 2:43-3:00 (Most strongly at the beginning of that time-frame) there were some very interesting harmonic and tonal dynamics between the instruments that I feel like should have been expounded on much more! A whole track could come out of the focus of that one, Surrealistically deep sound.

Techtonicks responds:

I completely understand what you mean and where you're coming from with that. Although I'm happy with the track as a whole (personally) ill keep your advice in mind for the future! thanks :D
I wish i could get more reviews from people like you! Very helpful. Constructive criticism is a lost art.

Lmfao i was hella drunk when i wrote this

The lack of cross-checking is what makes that happen, Janze.
You should definitely use monitors to mix. Cross check on headphones, not vise-versa.
That said, I listened to his on headphones because I don't want to wake my room-mate up, and the mix was not that bad sounding. Not really into re-mixes though, so not a lot to say there.

Wasn't really inspiring or epic, just kind of exists as a decent track.

What did you use to make these? There's some really nasty overtones happening.

usaku responds:

I make on FL studio 10( 3xOSC plugin) I know, I can't clearned -_- sorry

Wow, I almost lost my shit.
You broke outside of the constraints of what 4/4 dance usually is, especially in your intro, which blew me away!
The effect after so much regular music around the audio portal recently was contrasting and beautiful.
I would maybe use a smidgen less reverb on the rhythmic synths.

It does not loop well, though.

Please step out of your comfort zone more. Good things happen.

BuggMusic responds:

Thanks a lot! :D

As for the reverb and loop, sorry about that, it's unmastered and unmixed. Just wanted to get some quick feedback :)

Loops well as background music while doing math.
I liked the melodies. They didn't sound amazingly new, but did have a flavor that was jumpy and fun.
The sounds were all good, too.

Try to expound on the emotional purpose of the song.
Why does this song exist?
What do you feel about the track?

You might find that if the answer is "I made it because I was bored," that will be reflected in the artistic impressions of the track.

Just a few cents for you there.

You tend to use polyphonic leads similarly to me.
I enjoyed the simplicity of this track and it's composition, but not the soundscape so much.

The composition is there!
The dynamics are there!
The ability is showing!

The sound.. I forgot how to sound from this.

Stereocrisis responds:

Thanks. Just doing my part. - Your local friendly Spider-man.

Super chill.

king-calamari-1 responds:

Thanks!

Learn your genres. That is all.

The composition is gorgeous.
Jesus Hitler Christ.

The mix.. Not my favorite.
